Twenty eight years ago, I stepped onto the Child and Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit at Shands Hospital, dowtown Jacksonville. I was hooked. All I could see were these sweet children, teens with incredible potential, and a team of doctors and therapists working their hearts out to make a difference. I decided then and there, as a UNF graduate school intern, that I would dedicate my career to the most precious people on the planet, your children. With a Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree (‘95) and extensive training in trauma recovery, CBT, EMDR, ERP, and EFT, my approach is to make counseling a fun, playful experience where kids can resolve adverse experiences, and learn the skills they need to successfully navigate life. I am fortunate to have created a thriving private practice in beautiful Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. I think that my passion for mental health is contagious. I know that I’m biased, but I truly believe that therapy is the most worthwhile investment in your children’s future!
